This concert will partly be a fundraiser for Musekiwa Chingodza's project in Zimbabwe, called Serevende Music and Cultural Arts Center. The center's goal is to help orphans and other impoverished youth attend school, gain life and literacy skills and sell their crafts (traditional arts training teaches them to make crafts). Serevende's future goal is to create a cultural center where visitors from around the world can come and learn in depth about mbira, singing, dance and other Zimbabwean traditions.
Any additional donations are greatly appreciated-please contact Kelly for more infomation!
