: Students in chorus have an opportunity to sing in a non-competitive environment, where all voices are welcome. The focus of the music is multi-cultural, emphasizing oral tradition, developing both the ear and a sense of the world around us through a variety of cultural music styles, genres and languages. |

: By focusing on rhythms from Africa, America & the African Diaspora, students learn syncopation, develop physical coordination, and try to play and hold down their own rhythm while other rhythms are being played simultaneously. We also strive to be a group of musicians who work together — recognizing how important each of us is to the whole of the community. |
