We like to provide a snack to all the after school music students.
Heres how it works: I arrive by 3 PM to meet the kids at the lower grade lunch tables, where I serve them a snack that has been provided by you, the parents.
Snack can be simple (a simple, healthy food is great-drink is optional), enough for 20 kids in choir and 15 kids in drumming. Drop it off the day of class BEFORE 3pm, so we can serve the snack at 3pm. A great snack is cut carrots or apples and rice crackers.
I will e-mail a snack sign up, so be sure to give me your email address.
Thank you so much parents, for your efforts in making our music classes a success!

After School Music w/ Kelly Orphan
Chorus and Drum Ensembles September 13 December 14, 2007
After School Programs
The goal of Chorus and Percussion is to use a wide variety of music as our medium to promote respect, unity and community. Some of the repertoire can be challenging and students are expected to memorize their music. This is why we ask for a commitment from each student. Once a student is confident that they would like to be a member of chorus or drumming, they are asked to commit for the rest of the allotted weeks of music. This way, the students also feel good about following through on their commitments, and the group stays unified.
meets on Thursdays in Bobs 4th Grade Classroom:
1st & 2nd grade: 3:30-4:15 PM
3-6th grade: 4:15-5 PM
Please note well see how big each chorus group is-we may need to break this group into two classes Ill keep you posted on any changes.
meets on Fridays in Bobs 4th Grade Classroom:
2nd & 3rd grade: 3:30-4:15 PM
4th 6th grade: 4:15-5 PM
I will be hand-picking kids to be in either Drum 1 or 2. This will have more to do with balance of abilities and group dynamics, not as much about beginners or intermediate. Please note on the first day of class, we will ALL meet (September 14) for one class from 3:30-4:15 pm.
